Passport/Visa Collection Locations

Overview

If your visa is approved the passport will be returned to you via Omniva services. You will receive a notification via SMS and email as soon as your passport is ready to be delivered.

You may choose to have your passport and visa returned to your home/business address in Estonia via courier service (Home Delivery) or collect them from Omniva Business Customer Service Point at Pallasti 28, 10001 Tallinn, Estonia (Pickup).

If you do not have an Estonian address, you can only choose the Pickup option.

Home Delivery

The courier will contact you via phone to agree on a date and time for the delivery. If you do not have a valid/Estonian phone number, Omniva will deliver the parcel at their convenience. If the parcel cannot be delivered  (you could not be reached via phone/you were not at the location), the mailman will leave you a notification in the mailbox informing you that the passport is ready for pick-up from the nearest Post Office.

You must collect your passport within 14 calendar days. Omniva will hold your passport for only 14 days, after which it will be returned to the Embassy/Consulate. 

If someone else wants to receive the passports on your behalf, that person will have to show an ID and a written authorization from you. Please find the information on power of attorney here.

Pickup

After receiving the notification via SMS and email, that your passport is ready to be picked up, you can do so at Omniva Business Customer Service Point at Pallasti 28, 10001, Tallinn, Estonia. Please find map here.

You must collect your passport within 7 calendar days. Omniva will hold your passport for only 7 days, after which it will be returned to the Embassy/Consulate.

When you come to the pickup point to pick-up your passport, you need to present a photo ID. If somebody else will pick-up the passport on your behalf, that person will have to present a written authorization from you and a photo ID. Please find the information on power of attorney here.

Change Delivery Options

You may change your preferred document delivery address online or through the call center until midnight before the day of your interview appointment. There is no cost to change your delivery preferences.

We strongly advise you not to change the pickup location after the time limit. Any changes to your desired pickup location after this time limit will lead to a delay in your passport delivery.

Check the Status of Your Visa

You can check the status of your application any time at this website: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx. Please wait at least three business days following your visa interview to check on the status of your application. The system may not have updated the status of your application prior to that time, and thus the message you receive may not reflect the actual status of your application.

For your convenience, you have several options to choose from to track the location of your passport.

Instant: Enter your passport number below to check on the status.

 

 

If your status shows "origination scan", it means your passport has left the Embassy or Consulate is on its way to the delivery location you have chosen. It is however not available yet.

When the status shows "ready for pick up", it means that Omniva is about to deliver your passport at the address indicated during the appointment scheduling process or, if a notification was sent to you via e-mail/SMS, your passport has been forwarded to the nearest Omniva office and you can pick it up from there.

The Embassy or the Consulate cannot help you regarding the status of your passport delivery. Please do not contact the Embassy or Consulate regarding the status of your passport delivery.

Email: Send an e-mail to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com and in the subject and/or body enter a valid passport number exactly as it was entered at the time the appointment was scheduled. Do not include any additional text. You will receive an automatic response with the status.
