IMPORTANT NOTICE:
As of September 13, the U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia has discontinued issuing B1, B2, and B1/B2 visas for Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs employees, with the rank of Director General and above, and their families, with limited exceptions.
Under Section 243(d) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, when so requested by the Secretary of Homeland Security due to a particular country’s refusal to accept or unreasonably delay the return of its nationals, the Secretary of State must order consular officers to suspend issuing visas until informed by the Secretary of Homeland Security that the country in question has accepted the individuals.
If you are subject to this visa suspension and you choose to apply, we will interview you but will not be able to issue a visa until the suspension is lifted.  Please consider this carefully before you apply.
Application fees will not be refunded.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Starting November 1, 2016, eye glasses will no longer be allowed in visa photos. For further details on photo requirements please visit: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/general/photos.html.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Starting from October 1, 2016, the submission of visa renewal applications via the Interview Waive Program (IWP) will be on Wednesday and Thursday, between 13:00-15:00 hrs.
Applicants who have been a issued visa and the visa has expired within the last 12 months (1 year), may apply to renew the visa, without an interview, at the Consular Section of U.S. Embassy. Please visit this webpage for more information.

Effective immediately, the Embassy will not interview applicants who used an invalid barcode to book a non-immigrant visa interview appointment.  Applicants are required to use a proper and valid barcode to schedule  their interview appointment. If an applicant fails to use their valid barcode when booking their interview appointment, the applicant will be asked to book a new appointment with a valid barcode and their visa application will not be processed on the original interview day.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
As of November 29, 2016, Chinese citizens with 10-year B1, B2 or B1/B2 visas in Peoples’ Republic of China passports are required to update their biographical and other information from their visa application through the Electronic Visa Update System (EVUS) before travelling to the United States. This update must be done every two years, or upon getting a new passport or B1, B2, or B1/B2 visa, whichever occurs first.
EVUS enrollment is available at www.EVUS.gov. There is currently no fee for EVUS enrollment. Until a fee is implemented, travelers can enroll in EVUS without charge. The Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will keep visa holders informed of new information at www.cbp.gov/EVUS.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
If you are a citizen of a Visa Waiver Program partner but unable to travel to the United States under that program, you should apply for a nonimmigrant visa at least three months in advance of your desired travel. If you do not have imminent travel plans, you should pay the nonimmigrant visa application fee, fill out the DS-160 nonimmigrant visa application form at ceac.state.gov/genniv/, and schedule a visa appointment. If your travel is imminent, you may request an expedited visa appointment. Please include in your request the date and purpose of your travel, as well as a copy of any U.S. Customs and Border Protection message you may have received regarding your ESTA status.
More information about restrictions to travel under the Visa Waiver Program, including the requirement for an electronic passport, is available at https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/visit/visa-waiver-program.html.
