Renew My Visa

The visa application process is the same whether you are applying for the first time or renewing your U.S. visa. Please note, your visa may be valid even if the passport holding it expires. You can travel to the United States with a valid visa in your old passport as long as you also have a new, valid passport.

The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs website and Consular Post websites are the definitive sources of visa information. Should there be discrepancies in content, the Consular Affairs website and Consular Post websites take precedence.
